For day 16, I touched on the game theme with the “funny old game” that is life.

justice rings hollow

when it comes at a price.

A and START

as truth departs,

the cheat excludes the cheated. 

But our world oft lacks an extra life

for whence one is defeated.

 

Yet a coin under the sofa

could serve as a token 

to persevere – with records broken.

Atlantis slowly rises to evaporate despair…

for treasure only remains buried 

if one leaves it there.
